The 2025 Women’s Beanpot saw an attendance of 13,279, the largest crowd at the Women’s Beanpot in the 46 years of the tournament. This is the second year that the Women’s Beanpot championship has been played at Boston’s TD Garden.
Last week, Northeastern’s Matthews Arena broke the record for the largest crowd at a campus site in Women’s Beanpot history with 3,298.

It WAS a pretty even second period.
That was until Lily Shannon hammered home a rebound to extend the Huskies’ lead to two goals with 2:21 left to go in the period. Then just seconds later, Jaden Bogden deflected Jules Constantinople’s point shot to make it 3-0.
Northeastern takes a 3-0 lead into the third period, and the Huskies are just 20 minutes away from their third Beanpot championship in a row.

It was a tightly played first 20 minutes at TD Garden. Both teams had a few scoring chances, but only the Huskies found the back of the net. Shots were 11-10 in favor of Northeastern.
Each goaltender made a few key stops, like this sequence from Lisa Jönsson.

Lily Yovetich’s shot takes a lucky deflection off of a BU stick for her first goal of the 2024-25 season, and the first of the championship game.

The puck has dropped at TD Garden as No. 15 Northeastern takes on Boston University in the 2025 Women’s Beanpot championship game.
BU is looking to get revenge for last year’s championship game loss and win its first Beanpot since 2019. NU is looking to win its third Beanpot in a row, and its 20th all-time.

Boston College defeated Harvard 4-1 in the 2025 Women’s Beanpot third-place game. The Eagles also won their first game at TD Garden and got revenge on the Crimson for last year’s shootout loss.
Boston College came out hot with three first-period goals, and the Eagles never looked back. A shorthanded tally in the third extended their lead to four before Harvard scored its first of the night on a late third-period powerplay. Grace Campbell stopped 27/28 shots in the win.

Harvard came out stronger after the intermission, outshooting Boston College 10-8 in the second period. BC still leads in 17-16 in shots. Despite getting some better chances, the Harvard offense could not get past BC goalie Grace Campbell.

Boston College started hot, scoring three goals in a span of eight minutes. It was all Eagles early, with BC recording nine shots in the first 20 minutes.
Harvard coach Laura Bellamy called a timeout after the third BC goal to try to slow the game down and to switch goaltenders. Harvard had six shots in the period, with most coming after the timeout.

The Eagles’ offense is humming early as Katie Pyne makes a nifty move to beat Ainsley Tuffy. All three BC goals so far have come from New England natives.
