The full rosters for Finland and Sweden in the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off are officially set, and the NHL unveiled the lineups for fans on Wednesday.
The Finland team is headlined by the likes of Sebastian Aho, Kaapo Kakko and Patrik Laine:
The Swedish team features stars like Filip Forsberg, Mika Zibanejad and Erik Karlsson, among others:
Forsberg, Karlsson and Victor Hedman were members of the Swedish team that placed third in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey in Toronto, which was the last time the NHL held a best-on-best international tournament featuring its players.
NHL players also didn’t compete in the Winter Olympics in both 2018 and 2022, so the return to international play will be a breath of fresh air for most of them.
The full rosters for the USA and Canada teams will be revealed later on Wednesday night. However, there’s already a ton of confidence on the USA side.
“As far as the type of team that you’ll see, it’ll be very talented,” USA coach Mike Sullivan told NHL.com on Tuesday. “It will be a talented group that I think can compete against any team in any environment. There’s speed. There’s skill. There’s size. There’s abrasiveness. There’s defensive conscience. There’s dynamically offensive players. But as I’ve said all along, every team is going to have talent. Talent alone isn’t going to win the tournament, we don’t think, and so I think our challenge is to become a team.”
The 2025 4 Nations Face-Off will be held from Feb. 12-20 at Bell Centre in Montreal and at TD Garden in Boston. Sweden will open the tournament against Canada on Feb. 12, while Finland will take on the USA the following day. Both opening games will be played at Bell Centre.
